Why Run in a Group?
Here are just a few reasons why we think that running as part of an organised group is just so much better!
Social, chatty running at it's best.
Cowbridge Moovers is all about achieving your running goals in a friendly, safe environment.
At Cowbridge Moovers we have members of all abilities, those who are just starting out looking to improve their fitness and those who regularly run 10k & half marathon events. No matter what ability or pace, one thing unites us all, the joy of running together and enjoying the outdoors.
We run three formal sessions a week
Two sessions are usually available. A 20 minute out and 20 minute back (40 minutes total) run or walk/run at your own pace or a runners' Strength & Conditioning class. Both sessions start with a group warmup at 7pm and end with a group cool down at 7:50pm in time for an 8pm finish.
For both sessions we meet in the carpark of Cowbridge & Vale Medical Centre in Cowbridge, CF71 7DA.

Friday Friesians meet in the carpark of the Barley Mow pub in Graig Penllyn at 9am every Friday. It's a relaxed group moving at an accessible pace, putting the world to rights along the way! The sesssion usually finishes at 10:15am.

When you run with Cowbridge Moovers you are never alone, so no need to feel nervous about those dark evenings. All our run leaders are first aid trained too, so help is always on hand should you need it.
Group running with Cowbridge Moovers is a very social, chatty afair. Join us to meet people, make new friends and feel part of the community.
When you run as part of an organised session you are far less likely to crawl under the blanket on a sofa. Regular organised sessions are a great motivator to keep on running.
Well, we do love an orange t-shirt!

All our Run Leaders are trained and qualified by Welsh Athletics
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3...
Please fill out this form and be just a minute or two early to your first session to meet the run leaders. We do not charge a membership fee.
We don't run a formal programme, but all our session are time based, not distance based. If you are just starting out and need to walk some sections that's absolutely fine!
We ask all runners to wear bright clothing to sessions and wear a light or head torch during the winter months. All our sessions are outdoors so dress for the weather! Bring water and sunscreen in hot conditions.
Please contact us using the details below before coming to a session so we can understand your situation. We would recommended following a programme designed by a physiotherapist. If we can form part of that then see you soon!
All our sessions are free of charge and this is no joining or registration fee.
Unfortunately not. Cowbridge Moovers is 18+ only.
